Oh, this must have been in 2002. We organized a kinship dinner, and, well, there's ups and downs, and on this occasion, only one other gal showed up. Nevertheless, we had lots of fun and laughter having a good meal together. Marc was telling us a story of why he's afraid of small dogs (may that's why Ella is huge?!!). It was so funny that Wendy (my spouse) asked him to repeat it (with all the pretensious seriousness he can muster) and caught his entire comedic performance on video. I'm not really sure if he's afraid of small dogs, but his story sounds plausible!
